Karen received a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in 2008 and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of California. Her experience with adolescence includes having served as a middle school counselor in the Huntington Beach School District and a case worker for the Orange County Juvenile Drug Court providing therapeutic services to incarcerated adolescents and their families. She has also provided psychotherapy to our recently released veterans at the Long Beach V.A. Hospital.
Karen is certified in the Beat The Odds program, a comprehensive cancer survivorship group therapy course available at the Todd Cancer Center at Long Beach Memorial Hospital. Prior to becoming a therapist, Karen was a stay-at-home PTA mother at Lowell, Rogers and Wilson, for which she received the esteemed Golden Oak Award. She has been married for 20+ years, and has a son and daughter.
