Holly Ihle, Ph.D.
Holly received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Cal State Northridge in 1983. She then went on to obtain her Masters (1985) and Ph.D. (1991) from The California School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Ihle has been a California State Licensed Psychologist since 1994. She has been involved in the practice of psychology for the past 20 years, and has worked in an array of treatment settings which allowed her to provide a wide range of treatment services to diverse populations.
Dr. Ihle has spent the last 16 years as Drug Abuse Treatment Programs Coordinator, overseeing the operations of a residential treatment program and outpatient substance abuse treatment. She has also worked in a private practice since 2009, and is skilled in treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, stress, and relationship problems. Her special interest is centered on assisting people with major life transitions.
Dr. Ihle strives to create a welcoming, comfortable and warm ambiance where clients can explore both shorter-term behavioral problems, or assist them with encountering and confronting deeper, more painful issues. A major part of Dr. Ihle’s psychological work has been helping individuals who face severe adversity and disconnection with family, themselves, and their lives in general. This experience has contributed to her ability to accept the person rather than the behavior, and apply her skills to assist change where none initially appears possible.
